A plan to assassinate Zelensky was narrowly averted!- An informant was informing Moscow about the position of the Ukrainian president!

Ukrainian authorities have foiled a reported plot to assassinate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zhelensky, according to a statement by Ukraine's secret service (SBU) on Tuesday.

Informant caught

SBU authorities have arrested a Russian informant who was reportedly gathering information about Zelensky's visit to Nikolaev last week. She is accused of seeking information on when the Ukrainian president would be in certain locations and intended to pass this data on to Russia, which in turn would launch an air strike to assassinate him. At least that is what the Ukrainian secret service wrote in its statement.

The said plan is revealed during Ukrainian counter-attack operations, the ultimate aim of which is to recapture Ukrainian territories that have come under the control of the Russian army, including even Crimea. Although there are reports that the Ukrainian counter-offensive is proceeding at a slower pace than expected, Kiev's forces are making some progress in areas of the front. At the same time, Russia has not stopped hitting various Ukrainian structures with ongoing large-scale air strikes.

Returning to the plan to assassinate Zelensky, the Ukrainian authorities added that the suspected informant has not yet been identified. All we know is that we are dealing with a woman from Ochakov, a town in the Nikolaev region. She worked in a military store. According to the country's secret service, the woman received instructions from Russia on how to discover the location of Ukrainian military electronic warfare systems and ammunition depots near the town where she was staying, namely Ochakov.

The Russian soldiers then intended to use the information received from this woman to launch attacks during Zelensky's visit to these locations. The Ukrainian agency ordered the deployment of "additional security measures" to ensure the safety of the Ukrainian president, according to the statement.

"The SBU arrested the traitor while she was trying to convey information to the intruders," the official statement of the agency reads.

It is reported that the informant was driving her car around the targeted area to take photos and videos of Ukrainian infrastructure, with the aim of providing Russia with as much data as possible. She also tried to obtain more information through her contacts, hoping that they would 'willingly provide her with specific information'.

Moscow has not officially commented or responded to the Ukrainian revelations.
