US agents have concluded that the massive removals of military chiefs in the Chinese military at the initiative of Chinese President Xi Jinping came after numerous cases of corruption within Beijing's armed forces were revealed in the country, cases that undermine the Chinese military's efforts to modernize and improve its position in a possible future war.
The news was first reported by Bloomberg.
Missiles equipped with... Water!
In more detail, the corruption within China's missile forces is so great that US intelligence believes that in the coming years Chinese leader Xi will be forced to refrain from any major military action.
According to U.S. reports, the results of the corruption include missiles filled with water instead of fuel or huge fields of missile silos in western China whose liquids do not work as they should and consequently all the missiles in those silos cannot be launched properly.
The US believes that the serious level of corruption within the Chinese military has resulted in a decrease in confidence regarding Chinese military capabilities, especially within the Chinese missile forces. At the same time, the negative effects of corruption have forced Xi to delay some of Beijing's most important priorities in modernizing the Chinese armed forces.
In the past six months, corruption allegations have resulted in the removal of more than 10 security officials, a record number in China's modern military history.
However, the American agents stressed that America should not rest on its laurels. The fact that Xi is taking drastic steps to replace these officials with more loyal military leaders shows that corruption has not only not weakened him, but has prompted him to increase discipline and efficiency within his military. In this way he is preparing the Chinese armed forces for an upcoming long war.
Let us inform you of course that these reports cannot be confirmed, as well as to emphasize that the US intelligence services do not have a "good" past with their spying within the Asian country. Keep in mind that Washington has several times in the past taken on US agents because they were unable to spy on Xi's inner circle.
