Amid heavy fightings, the Russian advance continues on the northern Donbas front, while in the south the front has stabilized.
Russian troops are launching an offensive situation in the Kupyansk region. The assault units started fighting and reached the village of Sinkovka. Fightings broke out in the village from street to street. To the north, Russian units are entrenched in Tavolzhanka and near Grianikovka.

The advance of Russian forces was also reported in the direction of Liman, where motorized units took control of several dominant heights in the Zhuravka region. They also advanced to Seversk near Belogorovka.
If further success is achieved, Russian forces may soon begin the battle for the city of Seversk, which they are approaching from three directions. Army units are located in the east and southeast, where the settlements of Sbornoe and Zolotarevka are under their control. Wagner's units are coming from the south.
The main battles in this area take place near Razdolovka and Vesele.
On February 6, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed control of the village of Nikolaevka, located south of Razdolovka. Wagner's chief announced control of the village on February 2.
Wagner fighters continue to invade Bahamut City from multiple directions.
On February 6, a Ukrainian officer claimed that more than a third of the city was under the control of Russian forces. According to him, Russian troops managed to break through some of the Ukrainian defenses and advance both on the outskirts of Bakhmut and inside the city itself.
According to Russian sources, in the northern districts of the cities, the Wagner assault units managed to gain ground in the 1st Usakov lane and continue to exert pressure in the Stupka station area.
In the eastern districts of the city, Russian raiding parties have leveled the front along Selkorovskaya Street.
Street fightings continues south of Bakhmut, approaching the Budenovka region.
The Russian advance was reported on the front line of Donetsk. The Russian army has captured a number of important positions along the southern outskirts of Mariinka. They gained a stronghold in the Agroresur enterprise, advanced on the territory of the tire repair factory and are now encircling a Ukrainian group from the south.
