The mystery with the unknown F-15 in Pakistan's arsenal was solved - A new threat to Greece or not (Video)

An American-made F-15 air superiority fighter appeared in a video of the Pakistani air force, raising questions as this aircraft has never been part of the country's arsenal nor have there been any thoughts of acquiring it.

The Background and Video

More specifically, the prestigious defence website EurAsian Times reports that so far it remains unknown whether it was a mistake or the Pakistanis just deliberately placed an F-15 fighter aircraft in their new video.

The fighter, however, which is used in regular fighter missions by the air forces of Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Japan etc, was featured in a video released by the Pakistan Air Force on the 147th birth anniversary of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the creator of modern Pakistan.

Celebrations were held across the state and the Pakistan Air Force video was essentially a 2.5 minute mini documentary entitled "Pakistan Air Force is heading towards modernisation".

It must be pointed out at this point that recently the Pakistanis have conducted massive aerial exercises with the Chinese and Turkish air forces. Beijing and Ankara participated along with 12 other nations in the major multinational exercise Exercise Indus Shield in mid-October, and we should point out that both nations export military equipment to Pakistan.

The F-15 Mystery

In this published video we see a Chinese-made JF-17 Thunder fighter in the middle. To the left of this is an older F-16 aircraft of either AM-Block 15 or BM-Block 17 version, while to the right is an F-16C/D of Block-52 version. In the back left corner we see a J-10C, which Pakistan recently acquired from China, flying, while in the back right corner we see the mysterious F-15.

The rest of the Pakistani air force's arsenal includes some Turkish Bayraktar Akinci and TB-2 drones, as well as US C-130J Hercules transport aircraft, etc.

The answer to the legitimate question "how did this F-15 get here" is provided by a retired pilot of the country's air force named Ali Hamza, who, speaking to EurAsian Times, said that the F-15 was actually Saudi. It was included in the picture because the photo was taken during the Indus Shield exercise, in which, as mentioned above, Riyadh took part.
