A Syrian website has put Greece in the crosshairs again and accuses us with an article in English that through non-existent "mercenaries" we are supposedly exterminating migrants in the Evros River.
This is yet another provocation, which probably many people inside and outside the time country will want to exploit for their own suspicious plans, and that is the only thing that is certain.
The website admits that "hundreds of migrants are moving along the Evros River border between Turkey and Greece via small boats carrying them from the Balkans to southeastern Europe.
On their journey towards their dream of reaching Europe, there are those who lose contact with their families on the Evros River, also known as Maritsa, amidst uncertainty about their fate."
They even cite the Euro-Mediterranean Observatory for Human Rights, which supposedly "confirmed before the United Nations Human Rights Council that the extensive activity of mercenaries on the Greek-Turkish border to suppress and repel the arrival of migrants on Greek territory is dangerous and illegal and must be stopped immediately.
At the 54th Council session, the Euro-Mediterranean Monitoring Centre reported that there is convincing evidence of the recruitment and support of these mercenaries by the Greek authorities to reduce the number of asylum seekers.
Crimes against migrants have reached the point of killing them, including children, or deliberately sinking their boats, inflicting various forms of abuse and torture on them and forcibly returning them to extremely dangerous conditions.
The Geneva-based organization added that the mercenaries use Greek security vessels for their missions and carry out their "criminal" acts under the watchful eye of security."
Emma Gimbra, a researcher at the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory, said that "entrusting irregular groups (mercenaries) with the tasks of repelling and returning asylum seekers in no way exempts the Greek government from bearing the resulting legal consequences and may directly expose it to double liability under its agreement to engage in illegal criminal activities on its territory."
The fairy tales and propaganda against Greece continue unabated, as we can see, with the main aim of completely bending Athens' will to secure our national borders, while at the same time Turkey is sending hundreds of migrants to our islands.
Europe and its policy of uncontrolled immigration has already caused great dissatisfaction among citizens, while social problems and crime have increased dramatically. The continuation of this policy will lead to very bad situations in the coming period with the rise of extreme parties and the creation of hundreds of new ghettos within European cities.
