The Ottoman game with the Turkish Tayfun missile and the simultaneous deployment of a Ukrainian ballistic missile with a range of 1000 km

Kiev has developed a deep and highly important defence cooperation with the Turkish defence industry, which is multilayered and has aspects unknown to the general public.

According to an Israeli expert, "Exports of aircraft engines from Ukraine in May 2023 amounted to the UK, in the amount of 5.5 million dollars, to #Turkey, in the amount of 0.021 million dollars. Someone needs to stop this immediately," she said.

It has been known for months that Ankara has been importing elite Ukrainian engineers who used to work in the Ukrainian defense industry and are now working in Turkey.

According to the Turkish press, "TAI Director General Temel Kotil had arranged secret talks with Ukraine, and for months Ukrainian engineers have been working in Turkey at the company's office opened in Antalya."

As is well known, Turkey and Ukraine have had extensive cooperation in the defense industry for a long time.

Many defense industry companies from TAI to Aselsan and Baykar have agreements with companies in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian organisation responsible for defence exports, Ukrspetsexport, has signed a contract with Aselsan.

TAI cooperates with the Defence Aviation University of Ukraine. The engines used in the Turkish ATAK 2 helicopter were manufactured by the Ukrainian company Motor Sich.

The Ukrainian company signed an agreement to supply 14 engines until 2025.

Under this agreement, it was planned to deliver two engines in September. In case of problems, a plan B was created.

On the agenda was the intensification of domestic engine studies, which had been started long ago.

Needless to say, an influx of Ukrainian engineers and specialists in the Turkish defense industry gives Erdogan another impetus to build many projects to make his country a regional power in a vast region, and many risks for Greece.

Turkey aspires within the next two years to deploy the Kızılelma unmanned combat aircraft, as well as the UCAV TB-3 Bayraktar, and the KAAN aircraft was on the runway for a while, successfully completing its first taxi test.

The KAANs are currently using an American-made F110 engine used in the F-16 fighter aircraft. However, the Turkish-made engine is expected to be ready in 2028, from TRMotor.

The Ottoman play with the Turkish Tayfun missile and the simultaneous development of a Ukrainian 1000 km ballistic missile

According to the Greek press, Turkish Eray Gutsluer, a retired officer and member of a Turkish Think Tank.

Not coincidentally, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksil Reznikov announced the day before yesterday that Ukraine has good prospects for producing its own long-range missiles with a range of 1,000 km or more.

In particular, the Ukrainian minister was asked whether there is an opportunity for Ukraine to renew the production of long-range missiles.

"We have an approved missile programme. Official budget funds have already been allocated for this. The performers of this program are 100% Ukrainian production, industry," he said.

So here the one and only question arises, which concerns all the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean.

Ukrainians and Turks cooperate closely in the missile sector, that is why we have early announcements of ranges of 1000 km?

We think the answer comes effortlessly and it is a fact that the cooperation between Ankara and Kiev has already worked against Greek interests in the Aegean.
