Greece's involvement is deepening! Did a new batch of Greek BMP-1A1 Ost arrive in Ukrainian hands before the attack against the Russians? (Video)

According to a video on a social network, a Greek BMP-1 is seen in a gathering area with others, preparing for the attack that the Ukrainians have announced for a long time.

“This appears to be one of the first sightings of the Ukrainian BMP-1A1 Ost. Greece has reportedly delivered 40 BMP-1A1 Ost to Ukraine in exchange for 40 Marder IFVs. Strangely missing is the M2 Browning mount that was added to most of the Greek BMP-1A1 Ost fleet,” the publication states.

The BMP TOMAS are probably among those that our country recently sent as military aid to Ukraine.

Kiev's high demand for tanks and TOMAs is self-evident and concerns Ukrainian territory.

It is a vast country, all of which is plains, and it requires fast-moving weapon systems for military operations missions.

Crawler weapon systems, drones along with fast-moving anti-tank units rule the battlefield, while the needs of the Ukrainians are simply enormous.

The shipment of additional Greek TOMA BMP-1 armored fighting vehicles with 73mm missiles, artillery and rifle ammunition was announced at the beginning of the month during the meeting held in Athens by Defense Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos with his Ukrainian counterpart, Alexei Reshnikov.

The Minister of National Defense had stated: "We have sent some BMPs, and we have to send some more. We will send ammunition of various calibers, if we have possibilities from the surplus, because from the first moment we have said that we support every struggle against every revisionism".

We remind you that although Kiev is grateful to its allies for the military aid they have sent, Ukraine needs at least 10 times more, Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Melnyk argued on Saturday.

A former Ukrainian ambassador to Berlin who has at times been criticized for his comments, Melnyk has called on allies to give Kiev military aid equal to 1 percent of their country's GDP. Doing so would amount to a gigantic increase in military aid to Ukraine.

To date, the estimated value of allied aid to Ukraine is estimated at nearly $55 billion, according to Melnyk.
