Vityaz-SN is an improved version of the PP-19-01 Vityaz. The first Vityaz was based on the AK-74U assault rifle. The improved SN model was based on the AK-105 assault rifle. The gun features some improvements like better ergonomics. The submachine gun was built mainly for the law enforcement forces. In 2017 Vityaz-SN was seen in a military parade in Kazakhstan.
Specifications
Some upgrades of the Vityaz-SN over the previous models are the new type-Picatinny rail in the top of the gun, which can take a variety of different sights.

Vityaz-SN is based on the limited AK-105. However, the internal mechanisms are simpler. Some parts are the same as the ones used in AK.
The weapon features a button for switching modes. The available modes are the “safe”, “Semi-auto” and “full-auto”.

The submachine gun has a magazine of 30 rounds. Two magazines can be used at the same time for faster reloading.
Vityaz-SN has iron sights type Kalashnikov. The targeting range reaches 200 meters. The original model of the Vityaz-SN had an odd left rail for more sights. Although, in the production stage, this weird rail was removed. The effective range of the gun is around 50 to 100 meters. The gun was designed for operations in buildings and use in close combat in general.
The submachine gun can be equipped with a silencer.
