They consider America's national security at risk in combination with the attitude of Texas, which did not accept immigrants in its region.
In the face of a constitutional crisis in Texas and voters nationwide worried about the illegal immigration tally, some of the most famous former FBI officials are sternly warning Congress that President Joe Biden's border policies have unleashed an "invasion" of thousands of military-age men.
They consider aliens in their country to be "one of the most pernicious" threats to American security.
What they say about this serious issue
Ten former FBI officials, who held prominent positions in intelligence, counterterrorism, and anti-crime agencies, expressed their deep concern in a January 17 letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson, Senate Leader Chuck Schumer, and the chairs of the House and Senate committees they chair, as well as the U.S. intelligence and homeland security agencies.
Their language confirms that of both current FBI Director Christopher Ray, who testified that the country's security lights are "flashing red," and Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who claims that Biden's relaxation of border security has allowed an "invasion" of America by foreigners in a disturbing way.
"In its modern history, the United States has never suffered an invasion of its territory, but now it is unfolding in earnest," the former high-ranking FBI officials wrote.
"Military personnel from around the world, many from countries or regions not friendly to the United States, are coming to our soil in waves, by the thousands on foot.
Our borders have been accurately advertised around the world as largely unprotected with granted direct access.
It would be difficult to overstate the danger posed by the presence within our borders of a comparatively multi-segmented army of young unmarried adult males from hostile nations and regions whose background, intent or loyalties are completely unknown," they added in their letter.
Reactions from the letter and current FBI Director Christopher Ray
House Speaker Mike Johnson received the letter this week and speaking on Just the News that the letter reinforces Republican resolve for a deal that would completely seal the U.S. border.
"This letter from senior national security officials is further confirmation of what we already know, that President Biden's open border policies increase the risks of terrorist attacks on U.S. soil," Johnson said.
"An unprecedented threat on this scale requires structural changes to our policies immediately to secure the border and end the government's massive return of illegals to our country."
Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis. and the top Republican on the Senate Homeland Security Committee, said the letter "captured the reality of the threat posed by some of the American nation's most seasoned law enforcement veterans."
Mark Morgan: There is no more "denial" of the border crisis in the U.S.
Mark Morgan, former U.S. Deputy Commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, said that "the latest polls show how the American people recognize the crisis of open borders.
There is widespread recognition and people understand that what is happening at our border is an absolute mess and is unsustainable," he said.
The former FBI officials who signed the letter are:
1. Kevin Brock, former assistant director of intelligence and former principal deputy director of the National Counterterrorism Center.
2. Chris Swecker, former Assistant Director of the Criminal Division.
3. David Szady, former assistant director of intelligence.
4. Timothy J. Healy, the former director of the Terrorist Screening Center.
5. Mark Morgan, former assistant director for training and former acting commissioner of Customs and Border Protection for Homeland Security;
6. William Gavin, retired assistant manager for the inspection department.
7. Timothy McNally, former assistant director for the Los Angeles Division. Retired Special Agent David Mitchell, who oversaw FBI operations in Milwaukee.
8. Special Agent Jody Weiss, who oversaw FBI operations in Philadelphia.
9. Brock, who helped organize the letter, said it reflects the warnings and alarm of a much larger body of the current and retired FBI community.

They are also up in arms in the US about mass immigration and the serious dangers to their country, we here in Greece are quiet about being neighbors with the Middle East?
