He referred to the American exercise (Millennium Challenge-2002) in which the US allegedly had a plan to invade Turkey after an earthquake. Yaci made a remarkable statement after the 7.7 Richter earthquake that caused major damage in 10 provinces of the country .
Recalling Exercise Millennium Challenge-2002, the Admiral said: “unfortunately, our country is located in the seismic zone between the Alps and the Himalayas. It is not possible to consider such a geological phenomenon independently of our country's security and emergency policies or ignore the projected scenarios and threats to which our country may be exposed.
A similar scenario was written by the US in 2002 for an exercise called "The Challenge of the Thousand Years".
This scenario was implemented on 24 July 2002 in a 22-day exercise.
According to the scenario, “the destination country controlled certain sea lanes and had serious problems with a state that had many islands. In the event of an earthquake in this country, the government cannot use its armed forces because of the earthquake and the chaos that has ensued.
Then the army seizes the opportunity and controls the situation.
An international call for help is being made.
The United States demands that the aid be provided by its own soldiers, which the target country's armed forces do not accept.
So war breaks out between the target country's military and the US military, and the country is overrun within 96 hours."
According to the Associated Press at the time, the information that the target country was Turkey was mentioned in the scenario of the exercise.
We should evaluate and analyze the military and social risks of this earthquake, which has covered the provinces of Antioch ( Hatay), Germania (Kahramanmaraş), Malatya, to Gaziantep, Kilic and Diyarbakir.
