Russian forces have encircled the Ukrainian town of Constantinople, marking a new and sad but objective reality for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The previous day, the Russians took control of the central artery of roadways leading to the Ukrainian town of Constantinople, while Andreevka is already under Russian control.
On the morning of February 11, the Saratov region was attacked by drones. The governor, Roman Bushargin, reported damage to an industrial plant, but no casualties. The "Saratov News" portal reported delays in suburban trains.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces destroyed the infrastructure of Ukrainian airports and gathered heavy equipment and personnel in 142 areas. Russian Major General A. Alaudinov announced the destruction of most of the Ukrainian troops that invaded the Kursk region in 2024.
A Russian soldier reported that in Chasiv Yar, Ukrainian fighters are using civilians as human shields. He also mentioned the retreat of Ukrainian forces during clashes.
Target: Konstantinovka for the Russians
After the capture of Toretsk (Dzerzhinsk), the Russian military will target the capture of Konstantinovka.
Currently, units from the 1st, 9th, and 132nd Motorized Infantry Brigades, belonging to the 51st Army, are completing the operation to clear the outskirts of the city.
Russian forces advancing northwest from Toretsk towards Kleban-Byk, along the T-05-16 highway (Toretsk-Konstantinovka), are just 10 kilometers away from the town, according to the U.S. Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
The Russians are also encircling Kupiansk from the north
Russian units are entering the rear guard of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the city of Kupiansk and are ready to move towards Vovchansk.
"The redeployment of the 8th Russian army units towards the Toretsk direction, combined with the reinforcement of Russian troops in the Chasiv Yar-Yarovsk direction in recent weeks, allows us to assess the most likely scenario for further military actions," states the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Huge losses for Ukrainian forces in Kursk
The human losses within the Ukrainian army in Kursk are estimated to be in the tens of thousands. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that large-scale losses were inflicted on the Ukrainian Armed Forces during military operations in the Kursk region.
According to official figures, the total number of casualties among Kiev's troops in this direction approached 60,000 Ukrainian fighters.
In addition to enemy personnel, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed a large amount of Ukrainian military equipment of Western origin.
This significantly undermined the combat capability of the Ukrainian forces.
Specifically, Kiev's armored arsenal suffered a crushing blow. 357 tanks, 260 infantry fighting vehicles, 207 armored personnel carriers, and 1,833 armored combat vehicles were destroyed.
Currently, the Russian Armed Forces' operation to neutralize the formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk border area is ongoing.
Additionally, attacks on Ukrainian logistics and artillery were equally destructive.
More than 1,900 vehicles and 423 guns held by the Ukrainians were destroyed. Kiev's forces also lost 48 MLRS, including 13 HIMARS.
Among other losses, Ukrainian troops suffered significant losses in the field of specialized equipment.
According to the Russian department, Russian soldiers destroyed 106 electronic warfare systems, 15 anti-battery radar systems, 6 air defense radar stations, and many others.
