The UK is in panic: Putin's navy fleet, heavily armed, and a submarine are heading towards the English Channel

Russian warships with thousands of tons of weapons will be in the English Channel in a few days, writes The Sun newspaper, causing significant concern among British citizens.

"They are transporting missiles and ammunition from the Syrian city of Tartus to Russia," the article states.

Vladimir Putin ordered the return of Russian missiles and ammunition to his country after Russia lost its military bases in Syria due to the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime.

It is expected that the Russian convoy, loaded with expensive military equipment, will be in British waters for a few days after departing from Tartus, causing alarm among the British.

The Russian convoy, which is supposedly heading towards the Russian Baltic port of Baltiysk after passing through the Strait of Gibraltar, is moving north along the Portuguese coast.

As seen from the data received from naval monitoring sources, the Cutlass ship, one of the smaller Royal Navy ships, closely followed the Russian convoy.

It is expected that in a few days, the Russian warships will reach the English Channel, passing through the territorial waters of Britain and France.

"The Putin, who loves to show off," writes the British newspaper.

The Russian General Staff sent the frigate Admiral Golovko to accompany the ships during their passage through the Mediterranean Sea.

Two large landing ships capable of carrying a large amount of military equipment, the Ivan Gren and Alexander Otrakovsky, were also spotted among the ships.

Early on Sunday morning, the Alexander Otrakovsky BDK led the Sparta, Sparta II, and General Skobelev ships through the strait, after which the Ivan Gren and the Yelnya tanker followed, accompanied by the British ship Cutlass.

Earlier, it had been reported in the press that the Sparta ship encountered technical problems both on its way to Tartus and on its return.

In December, when the ship was off the coast of Portugal and heading to the Mediterranean, it had a malfunction in the main engine’s fuel supply.

Earlier this month, the ship was reportedly anchored east of Malta due to technical problems.

The Russian military equipment was gathered at the port of Tartus, the Russian naval base in Syria, on December 8.

Commenting on the passage of the Russian fleet's vessels, the spokesperson for the British Royal Navy stated, "The Royal Navy monitors and patrols the territorial waters and areas of interest of the United Kingdom using naval and air resources. We are committed to protecting our national interests and ensuring compliance with maritime law."

Earlier, one of the Russian submarines was spotted in the English Channel after leaving a key port in Syria.

The passage of the Russian attack submarine Novorossiysk was observed by specialized Merlin submarines and the Royal Navy’s auxiliary ship Tidespring.

A few weeks earlier, the Royal Navy’s tanker Tidesurge escorted Russian vessels along the British coast.

Each time we have a passage of Russian vessels through the Strait of Dover, the British fleet is put on alert, and now the NATO-Russia rivalry has shifted to the Baltic Sea.
