Israel ultimatum for a military strike on Iran - Issue with uranium enrichment of more than 60%

While the war in Ukraine is escalating, a new war front of equal importance is increasingly increasing the chances of "opening up" in the Middle East region this time, between Israel and Iran.

The intense dispute that exists between the two countries is known, with Tehran threatening Tel Aviv with extinction and continuing its nuclear program despite Western sanctions and not continuing the relevant 5+1 International talks on the matter.

Israel, for its part, is monitoring the situation very closely, while it has carried out several military exercises simulating an attack on Iranian targets, either individually or together with the US, but also with other Western countries.

One step before the military strike against Iran

However, now the situation seems to be relapsing dangerously, since "Israel has warned the US and its European allies that any Iranian enrichment of uranium beyond 60% could trigger a military strike", according to a very reliable Israeli source of information, which points out :

The International Atomic Energy Agency last month confirmed in a report that its inspectors had found "particles" of 83.7% enriched uranium at Iran's underground nuclear facility at Ford.

The report put Iran's uranium stockpile as of February 12 at about 3,760 kilograms (8,289 pounds) - an increase of 87.1 kilograms (192 pounds) since its last quarterly report last November.

Of these, 87.5 kg (192 lb) are more than 60% enriched, just a short technical step away from 90%, which implies the duality of producing nuclear weapons.

However, Axios cites an unnamed Israeli official as saying that Jerusalem does not consider the small amounts of 84% enriched uranium a trigger "because Tehran has not amassed any material at that level."

The official told Axios that Jerusalem did not set a "red line" for Iranian enrichment at 90 percent because Tehran may then begin stockpiling enriched uranium at levels just below that.

As a result, the Israeli government told Western allies that any progress by Iran above the 60 percent threshold could trigger military strikes against Tehran's nuclear facilities, according to the report.

Israeli officials believe that this message has been transmitted to their Iranian counterparts.

Israel asks the US to hand over 4 KC-46 flying tankers

Axios reported that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant asked US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin during his recent visit to Israel to expedite the delivery of the four KC-46 flying tankers that Jerusalem bought from Washington last year.

At the same time, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "The Iranian nuclear threat requires us to be prepared for any course of action, I repeat and emphasize. We must be prepared for any course of action.

Israel reportedly needs the refueling planes in question, which are scheduled to be delivered in late 2024, for a possible military strike on Iran.

Austin reportedly told Netanyahu and Gallant that the US would try to deliver the planes sooner, but stressed that this would be difficult due to US military needs.

Last month, US Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kall said Tehran could produce enough fissile material for a nuclear bomb in less than two weeks, comments echoing those made in an interview with CIA chief William Burns.

Netanyahu declares readiness

Netanyahu has warned that in the absence of a credible military threat or actual military action, Iran will become a nuclear power.

“The longer you wait, the harder it becomes to prevent it. We waited a long time. I can tell you that I will do everything in my power to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. This is not just in Israel's interest, it's in America's interest, it's in the interest of the whole world," he said.

Iran is arming itself

In a previous article, we pointed out that the combination of the 24 SU-35s that Tehran is getting from the Russians and the Bavar-373 AD anti-aircraft system will be quite a force to be reckoned with, significantly hampering an Israeli air strike with US assistance against of Iran's nuclear facilities.

The above movements of Iran, possibly demonstrated to Israel the imperative to hurry in time if it wants to hit the country in question.

Finally, for about 3 months, the US-Israel simulated an attack against Iran in the Mediterranean Sea, while Israel talks about 3 plans it has prepared for military intervention against Iran.

The role of Greece

We understand that in the event of a US-Israeli attack against Iran, it is expected that we as a country will be asked to play a supporting role, providing facilities based on the base of Souda, Stefanoviki, Kalamata and the military airfields and ports of the country, both in matters of supplying our Allies, as well as providing security and possibly transporting the wounded.

It should be considered possible that we will eventually be asked to host Israeli fighter jets and maybe even its warships, since the special morphology of Israel is such that all of its airports and ports can receive missile attacks and mass drone attacks. by Iran and its allies in the region such as Syria, Hamas and Hezbollah.

Greece can provide the required strategic depth that Israel's friend and ally country needs in this matter, by going a step further, which is the integration of our anti-aircraft defense with that of Israel, sinking the "Blue Homeland" to the bottom of the Mediterranean Erdogan's everywhere.
