Everything in Kosovo hangs in the balance, mainly due to the fierce reactions of the Serbian residents, since they do not accept to allow the Albanians to thresh by putting their own mayors in a coup d'état without any intervention.
The Kosovo peacekeeping force recently asked the Serbs to leave, while the Serbs say they will not move.
Serbian Defense Minister Milos Vucevic said the full deployment of unit formations would be completed by 14:00 today, in line with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's order from Friday, and stressed that the army remains at a high level of combat readiness. Serbian army units will be ready to carry out any order, in the hope that a political solution will be found, Vucevic said.
The Serbian minister "estimated that KFOR protects - the Kosovo police and the usurpers of democracy, the self-appointed presidents of Serbian Municipalities".
KFOR commander Angelo Michele Ristuccia asked the leader of the Serb List in Kosovo, Goran Rakic, to disperse protesters gathered outside the local administration building in the municipality of Zvetsan in northern Kosovo.
In his meeting with Ristocia, Rakic demanded that he in turn withdraw, that the Kosovo police guarding the entrance to the local administration building in Svetsan be withdrawn and that the newly elected Albanian Mayor resign (the Serbs did not vote and he left with the votes of only Albanians).
The president of the Serb List (Serb municipalities in Northern Kosovo), Goran Rakic, said that the people who gathered this morning in front of the municipality of Zvečan made two demands, that the illegal mayors resign and that the members of the ROSU (Albanian special force ) from the north and from the municipal buildings.
The head of the peacekeeping force emphasized that KFOR troops will remain outside the building and that he will open fire (in the air) if the protesters do not leave.
"This is the municipal administration building, it belongs to the people, our families work there and we will stay here. Those who are unwanted should be removed. If you want to leave, we will make room for you to leave," Rakic told KFOR troops.
KFOR's increased presence is felt outside local administration buildings in the Serbian municipalities of Mitrovica, Lepocevac, Svetsan and Zubin Patok in Northern Kosovo.
Protests are taking place today, Monday, in all four municipalities, where Serbs are in the majority.
A large number of KFOR members were deployed this morning near the main bridge over the Ibar River, which separates North and South Mitrovica.
Peacekeepers have also been deployed near the municipal building in Svetsan.
Members of KFOR's Italian division with jeeps and trucks and more than 100 soldiers, are ready for anything.
According to media, the sirens sounded in Svetsan around 7:00 am. and the Albanian special forces retreated to the city's municipal building.

Προσθέτουν ότι οι πολίτες συγκεντρώθηκαν οργανωμένα μπροστά από τα δημοτικά κτίρια στα βόρεια, σε ένδειξη διαμαρτυρίας.
Αρχικά η αστυνομία αναγκάστηκε να χρησιμοποιήσει δακρυγόνα για να σταματήσουν οι διαδηλωτές και να τεθεί η κατάσταση υπό έλεγχο.
Όπως τόνισαν οι Αλβανοί αξιωματούχοι, οι διαδηλώσεις συνεχίζονται στους βόρειους δήμους και η αστυνομία του Κοσσυφοπεδίου διαχειρίζεται την κατάσταση, και που δεν ισχύει φυσικά.
Οι Αλβανοί προσπαθούν να επιβάλουν με το έτσι θέλω δικούς τους δημάρχους σε πόλεις όπου πλειοψηφούν οι Σέρβοι, δεν αποδέχονται την ένωση των σερβικών δήμων, ενώ κάνουν χρήση ειδικών δυνάμεων και βίας για να επιβληθούν.
Η παρουσία των ειρηνευτικών δυνάμεων, έχει εξαγριώσει ακόμα περισσότερο την σερβική πλευρά, ενώ η κατάσταση φαίνεται να ξεφεύγει σταδιακά από τον έλεγχο, και πιθανόν μια απλή ντουφεκιά είναι ικανή να τινάξει τα πάντα στον αέρα.
