An unprecedented escalation has occurred in recent hours in the Middle East between Israel, Iran, and the United States. It appears that each day, the Iranian armed forces are getting closer to launching a massive attack against Israel; however, they are certainly concerned about the potential retaliation from Jerusalem and Washington.
Iran locked down by hundreds of US missiles
The Pentagon is steadily increasing its military presence in the Middle East. Recently, additional B-52 strategic bombers have landed in the region, while for weeks, a force of three fighter squadrons consisting of F-35, F-16, and A-10 aircraft has been maintained in the area.
Currently, there are 40,000 American soldiers and dozens of military aircraft in the Middle East.
Iran is also "locked down" by the US nuclear-powered attack submarine USS Georgia, which is sailing in the waters of the Middle East and is armed with a total of 154 Tomahawk cruise missiles. Additionally, two U.S. Arleigh Burke-class destroyers are currently operating in the Red Sea.
It is estimated that among these American capabilities, the 154 Tomahawk missiles carried by the USS Georgia pose the greatest concern for Iran. These missiles can strike targets at a maximum range of 1,600 kilometers, meaning that the most strategic targets within Iranian territory fall well within their range.
Iran deployed ballistic missiles to 74 positions
The bolstering of American forces in the Middle East serves as preparation for a new round of exchanges of fire between Jerusalem and Tehran. Iran is actively preparing to respond to the latest Israeli missile strike.
Specifically, it has been revealed that the Iranian armed forces have deployed ballistic missiles to 74 different positions across the country, preparing operators and launchers for upcoming strikes.
Currently, it is reported that a total of 350 missile launchers are in firing positions, with nearly 1,000 ballistic missiles from the Iranian arsenal ready for launch. However, the types of these missiles have not been disclosed, making their maximum firing range uncertain. Nonetheless, they can certainly inflict significant damage on the Jewish state, primarily due to their large numbers.
Therefore, it is clear that we are witnessing an unprecedented escalation. Never before in recent history have so many forces been put on alert simultaneously, neither from Iran nor from the United States.
