The Kiev forces encountered several setbacks while trying to advance in various directions, according to the Russian Defence Ministry's briefing on 7 September.
The ministry said that the Yug Forces Group repelled 12 attacks by the 77th Airborne, 110th Mechanized as well as the 241st Territorial Defense Brigade of Ukraine near Andreyevka, Bakhmut, Orekhovo-Vasilivka and Vesoloe regions in the direction of Donetsk.
Kiev's losses in this direction amounted to 215 soldiers, four mobile vehicles, two US-made M777 howitzer trailers, a D-20 howitzer trailer, a Rapira anti-tank gun and a Ukrainian-made Bukovel-AD electronic warfare system against drones. An ammunition depot of the 10th Mechanized Brigade was also targeted and destroyed near Avdeevka.
Meanwhile, in the Zaporozhye direction, the Russian force group repelled five attacks carried out by the 82nd Air Assault Brigade of the Kiev forces near Verbovoe.
The ministry said that Ukrainian losses in this direction amounted to 40 soldiers, one tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, two M777 howitzer trailers, one British-built FH-70 howitzer trailer, one Msta-B howitzer trailer, one D-20 howitzer trailer, one D-30 howitzer trailer, one Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer, one BM-21 multiple rocket launcher and one Bukovel-AD system.
In the direction of Kupiansk, the Russian Zapad force improved the situation on the front line and repelled three attacks by the 95th Air Assault Brigade near Novogorovka.
Kiev forces lost 100 soldiers, two armored fighting vehicles, two armored fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles, an M777 trailer and a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, according to the ministry.
And in the Krasny Lyman direction, the Russian Tsentr force group repelled two attacks by the 63rd Mechanized Brigade of the Kiev forces near Chervonaya Dibrova. The group also targeted the 12th Special Forces and the 21st Mechanized Brigade near the Sherebrianka and Yabolovka districts. Up to 60 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in this direction, the ministry said, adding that two armored fighting vehicles and two pickup trucks were destroyed.
In the direction of southern Donetsk, the Russian Vostok force group repelled an attack by Ukraine's 38th mechanized brigade.
Up to 190 Ukrainian soldiers were killed or wounded in this direction, according to the ministry. In addition, three armored fighting vehicles, four motor vehicles and a M777 howitzer trailer were destroyed. In addition, the group targeted and destroyed a field ammunition depot of Kiev forces near Novodonetskoye.
Meanwhile, in the direction of Kherson, Kiev forces lost 25 soldiers, three motor vehicles and a Msta-B howitzer trailer to Russian military fire.
