The air force of the Russian "South" force group hit the deployment point of the 5th assault brigade and the assembly area of the 24th mechanised brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with guided munitions in the Donetsk People's Republic. This was reported to TASS by the head of the press center of the "South" group Vadim Astafiev.
"The air force of the "South" force group inflicted damage with UMPC-500 and UMPC-250 guided munitions on the temporary deployment points of the 5th assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the settlement of Dilevka and the manpower concentration area of the 24th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Novgorodsky," Astafiev said.
In addition, the crew of an army air force helicopter destroyed an infantry fighting vehicle in the Klescevka region.
According to Astafiev, the group's fighters destroyed two self-propelled guns (ACS) of 155 Krab calibre of Polish production in Sviato- Pokrovsky and Kirov with Lancet ammunition. The Lancet also disabled the 122mm Gvozdika howitzer and the enemy infantry fighting vehicle in the areas of Kuzminovka and Andreevka settlements.
According to the head of the group's press centre, drones with an ammunition-dropping device struck infantry groups, trenches and armoured vehicles of Ukrainian troops in the Chasov Yar, Kleshchevka, Bogdanovka and Krasnopolye districts. Also, with the help of FPV drones, 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled guns were destroyed in Avdiivka.
In addition, the crew of the TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy thermobaric system successfully conducted two fire missions against the assault groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the outskirts of Bahmut.
Subdivisions of the Zapad troop group have defeated an enemy infantry company in the Olshan region, Colonel Sergei Zibinski, head of the group's press centre, told RIA Novosti.
"During offensive operations in the direction of Kupiansk, the assault groups of the 6th Combined Arms Army, supported by tank fire, artillery and strikes of the army's air force, advanced into the depth of the enemy's defences in the area of the Olshan settlement and captured seven forts, nine observation posts and defeated up to one infantry company from the composition of the 14th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the officer said.
In turn, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out four unsuccessful counter-attacks. Russian military personnel repelled the attacks. "The enemy's losses amounted to a platoon of manpower, a British-made "Spartan" armored personnel carrier. Two militants were captured," Zibinski explained.
In the defensive zone of the 1st Armored Army, units of the 25th separate airborne brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine made three attempts to counterattack the positions of Russian troops in the Novoselovsky region, all attacks were repulsed. Enemy losses amounted to one infantry platoon.
During the counterattack, the group's artillery destroyed two artillery pieces, a Msta-B towed howitzer in the Kupiansk area and a D-20 howitzer in the Petropavlovka area.
In addition, Russian militants destroyed the Akatsiya self-propelled gun in the Doroshevka region with the help of Lancet.
