The Russian military has repelled a new wave of Ukrainian attacks in the Donetsk, Krasny Liman, South Donetsk and Zaporozhye sectors, the Russian Defence Ministry said.
In a statement, the ministry said that the Russian Yug force group repelled ten attacks by Kiev forces in the direction of Donetsk, near the Orekhovo-Vasilievka, Kurdymovka, Yagodnoe, Zaliznyanskoe and Dubovo-Vasilievka districts. Four other Ukrainian attacks were repelled near Krasnogorovka, Avdeevka, Mariinka and Pervomaiskoe.
Up to 430 Ukrainian soldiers were killed during the fighting, while 11 infantry fighting vehicles, seven high-mobility vehicles, three trucks and a D-30 howitzer were destroyed, according to the ministry. In addition, an ammunition depot of the 110th Mechanized Brigade located near Avdeevka was targeted and destroyed.
Meanwhile, in the Krasni Lyman direction, the Russian Tsentr force repelled attacks near Yabolovka, Karamazinovka and Chervonaya Dibrova.
Air and artillery strikes targeted units of the 63rd and 67th Mechanized Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the 15th Regiment of the Ukrainian National Guard near Nevskoe, Chervonaya Dibrovka and Kuzmino districts. Two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance teams were also neutralised near the Sherebriansky forest.
The ministry reported that Ukrainian casualties as a result of these failed attacks totaled 130 soldiers, three armored fighting vehicles, two trucks, one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer and two D-20 howitzers. In addition, three Ukrainian service members surrendered.
In addition, two attacks by the 128th Territorial Defence Brigade that took place near Priyutnoye were repelled by the Russian Vostok Force Group in the direction of Donetsk near the Vremievka promontory.
In the direction of Zaporozhye, an attack by units of the 47th Mechanized Brigade was repulsed near Rabotino. In addition, the operational-tactical and air attack hit concentrations of manpower and equipment near the towns of Orekhovo and Novodanilovka.
Total losses of Kiev forces in these directions amounted to 170 soldiers, one tank, four armoured fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, two Msta-B howitzers and one D-30 howitzer. In addition, an ammunition depot of the 65th Mechanized Brigade was destroyed near Kushkhugum.
The situation in other directions, according to the statement of the Russian Ministry of Defence:
"In the Kupiansk direction, the operational-tactical and military aviation and artillery of the Zapad force group caused fire damage to the manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the Krasnoye Pervoye, Novomlinsk, Kotlyarovka and Massiutovka (Kharkiv region) districts. Up to 25 Ukrainian military personnel and two pick-up trucks were killed.
In the direction of Kherson, over 50 Ukrainian soldiers, two motor vehicles and an American-made M777 artillery system were neutralised during the day. In addition, an ammunition depot of the 126th Territorial Defence Brigade was destroyed near Kazachkoe (Kherson region).
The operational-tactical and military aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Russian force group have neutralised 108 AFU artillery units in their firing positions, manpower and military hardware in 137 areas during the day.
In addition, an ammunition depot of the 60th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was destroyed near Ogurtsovo (Kharkiv region). Russian air defence systems intercepted a Tochka-U tactical missile and a HIMARS MLRS missile during the day.
In addition, four Ukrainian drones were shot down near the Kolomichikha (Lugansk People's Republic), Solendar, Bakhmut and Novopetrovka (Donetsk People's Republic) regions.
In total, 444 planes and 240 helicopters, 4,779 unmanned aerial vehicles, 426 air defence missile systems, 10,348 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 1,131 MLRS-equipped combat vehicles, 5,228 artillery and field guns and mortars, as well as 11,179 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation."

A day earlier, Ukrainian officials announced the start of a new wave of attacks against the Russian army across the border line. The attacks appear to have lost momentum and the Kiev forces were unable to advance in any direction.
Despite the heavy losses they have suffered, the Kiev forces have been struggling to make significant gains on the battlefield since the start of their counter-offensive on 4 June.
