The Russian Ministry of Defence released footage of the capture of German Leopard tanks by Russian troops.
The relevant material was published on 13 June by the Russian Ministry of Defence.
"All the Western-made equipment seized, German Leopard tanks and US-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicles," the Russian ministry said.
The video shows Russian soldiers of the Western Group units inspecting tanks and infantry fighting vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine captured in the battle.
Some of them are with their engines on. The Russian ministry says this indicates the transience of the battle and the flight of Ukrainian soldiers.
According to Russian sources, on 13 June, the Ukrainian army lost 15% of all Bradley armoured vehicles in its possession.
A US TV channel, citing the Oryx website, reported that 16 of the 109 US armoured vehicles were destroyed or abandoned in recent days.
The Russian Defense Ministry also said the Russian military had neutralized more than 40 tanks in one day, including four German Leopards.
During fierce fighting near Orenkovo on the Zaporizhzhya front, sources in Moscow reported that the Russian army destroyed half of the Leopard 2Rs that the Finnish Armed Forces had delivered to their Ukrainian counterparts, Helsingin Sanomat reports.
The Leopard 2R demining tanks, based on the Leopard 2 chassis, were delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces by the Finnish Army.
However, as a result of intense fighting on the Zaporizhzhya front, half of them were destroyed.
According to reports, heavy losses of "Leopards 2R" occurred near the village of Robotino in the Zaporizhzhya region.
This represents a serious blow to the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, given the value and complexity of the equipment, especially in the context of the ongoing hostilities.
The transfer of Leopard 2R tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Finland was one of the measures to support Ukraine by the Finnish Armed Forces.
