According to the Russian state-run RIA Novosti, Russian armed forces in the direction of Krasnolimansky forced the personnel of the units of three brigades of the armed forces of Ukraine to separate in a nearby forest. This was stated by Colonel Alexander Savchuk, head of the press center of the Russian military group "South".
"In the Nevsky sector in the Sherebryansky forest district, fighters discovered the movement of the 63rd and 67th Mechanized Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 5th Brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard. As a result of artillery fire and airstrikes, the enemy suffered significant losses and scattered in the forest," he said.
In addition, the operational-tactical army and the army aviation of the group destroyed fortifications, as well as points of concentration of manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian troops near eight settlements. The neutralization of the point was completed with the use of rockets and bombs.
During the battle against the Ukrainian array, the Russian colonel added that the Ukrainian position of an M777 gun was destroyed thanks to the use of a Lancet-type kamikaze drone.
In another recent Russian success, Moscow's state media are reporting information from sources about the successful capture of the village of Novomlynsk in Ukraine's Kharkiv region. The point is located northeast of Kupyansk, crossing the Oskil River.
On June 1, at a press conference, the head of the press center of the Russian army group Zapad, colonel Sergei Zybinsky, said that the troops of the Russian Federation fighting in the direction of Kupyansk were actively attacking concentration points of Ukrainian troops and military equipment there.
The colonel emphasized that as a result of military operations in the area in question, successful strikes were carried out on units of the 103rd Gendarmerie Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the settlement of Novomlynsk.
The successful capture of Novoselivske, if indeed true, will allow the Russian army to bypass the fortifications of the Ukrainian armed forces and advance more easily in the direction of Kupyansk.
In the event of a strong attack by Russian forces in the direction, the Russian army will have the opportunity to gain control of a large area of land while minimizing the attacks it receives from the forces of Kiev.
The leader of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, has proposed sending Chechen forces to Belgorod, on the border with Ukraine, to deal with Ukrainian terrorist groups.
This is what Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the mercenary company Wagner, will do, sending units of the company to the border to repel the Ukrainian saboteurs, he said.
The number of Chechen fighters in battalions and regiments of strength and military structures exceeds 70,000 people, ready to fulfill any order.
This as a result makes Kadyrov's solution more powerful and effective than Prigozhin's. The decision is in Putin's hands.
