In a little more detail, a little while ago we learned that Ukrainian soldiers opened fire against a temporary residence of residents in the Russian Shebekinsky district of the Belgorod region. The governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, spoke about the incident on his own Telegram account.
As a result of the action of Ukrainian soldiers inside the Russian territory, people were injured and lost their lives. At least this is what the governor of the region said in his statements. Gladkov said that at the time when the Ukrainian military attacked, there were residents of local municipalities at the scene.
The exact number of injured and dead has not been announced by the governor, at least so far. He then explained that he also attended the scene of the attack after the incident, while promising the public that he would return soon with more details about the incident.
"Today, the armed forces of Ukraine opened fire on a temporary accommodation center for residents who had to be resettled from rural municipalities of the Shebekinsky district, people were injured and killed," the Russian politician wrote.
Violations of the Russian border have increased dramatically in recent days, with the result that more and more similar incidents are occurring in Russian regions bordering Ukraine.
On May 22, for example, in one of these recent strikes, a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group managed to enter the Graivoronsky district of the Belgorod region. After it was detected, Russian state media reports that an alarm was activated in the Russian authorities, as a result of which an anti-terrorist operation was immediately set up in the area. The next day, the Russian Ministry of Defense itself spoke of the capture and death of more than 70 Kiev saboteurs. From Moscow's side, these actions are considered terrorist attempts.
Since the Ukrainian attack on May 22, one civilian has been killed and 13 injured, with nine of them still in hospital as of yesterday. Gladkov said yesterday that three of them are in intensive care.
The increasingly frequent incidents of Ukrainian violations could not but cause panic and concern in Russia, but especially in the border areas with Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin himself spoke about the border guard during his speech in the past few days.
Speaking on the day of the national holiday of the Russian border guard, he said that it is the duty and obligation of this Russian service to reliably protect and guard the borders of the state, especially those located near the war zone in Ukraine.
Putin added that in order to carry out this most important task, the Russian border surveillance and guard service must work closely with the Federal Security Service (FSB) and other Russian authorities.
