In the last few hours, the focus of many Russian media are the statements of retired lieutenant general Pavlos Christou, who declared that the Kiev regime moved the fighting to peaceful cities. Thus, Kiev made a very important mistake.
According to the Greek lieutenant general, this move is a crime against the people of Ukraine. All conflicts must take place between armies in the open and not in the backyards of citizens.

"It is a war crime when you bomb and fight and keep the population in the middle of the battle or when you create military bases in cities, in hospitals," Christou said in an interview with the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
Such war tactics are prohibited by international laws, the general reminded.
Greek retired Lt. Gen. Pavlos Christou was apparently referring to frequent news reports that Ukrainian forces are taking advantage of the presence of civilians to inflict damage on the Russian military. For example, in the past we have heard about the presence of the Ukrainian army in civilian hospitals, from which they tried to knock out Russians. In addition, we know that many Ukrainian cities in the war zone were not evacuated in time, resulting in a dramatic increase in casualties. Imagine that the presence of residents in the symbol city of Bahamut, the worst hell of war, is still mentioned.
Earlier in Ukraine it was announced the appearance of additional Russian forces and military equipment in the vicinity of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.
New Successes of the Russians
In new news from Russian state-run Zvezda now, Russian crews of Grad multiple-launch rocket systems destroyed an American armored personnel carrier in the direction of Zaporizhia, near the village of Primorskoye. This was specifically announced by the head of the press center of the Vostok troop group, Alexander Gordeev.
He added that a temporary troop formation in the Malinovka area and a military gathering point in the Zeleny Pole area were destroyed.
In the direction of southern Donetsk, advancing Moscow units neutralized a Ukrainian reconnaissance group. Crews of TOS-1 heavy flamethrower systems obliterated the stronghold of a platoon of Ukrainian soldiers, while Russian 2S4 Tyulpan (Tulip) self-propelled mortars also destroyed a temporary Ukrainian emplacement in the Velikaya Novoselka area.
Earlier, in the Soledaro-Bakhmut direction, Russian missiles hit an ammunition depot of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Kiev army. Finally, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the temporary formation point of the 57th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainians had also completely disappeared.
