Mass Alerts in Russian Cities: Massive MLR Strikes - First Used GLSDB Missiles

During US President Joe Biden's visit to Kiev on February 20, the United States and Ukraine reached an agreement on the supply of long-range missiles.

According to a foreign media outlet, as part of the effort, Biden reportedly gave his preliminary consent to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with missiles capable of hitting targets up to 220 kilometers away.

However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, wanting to send a message about their deep strike capability, used GLSDB missiles for the first time in attacks against the DPR.

During the night attack of the Ukrainian troops in the Donetsk People's Republic, the latest GLSDB missiles of those serving in the Ukrainian army were involved. Information on this issue was provided by Sergey Karnaukhov, noting that the bombing with these missiles is being carried out for the first time and the attack itself was timed to coincide with the speech of US President Joe Biden.

“Bombing of DPR is carried out by GLSDB. The radius of destruction is 150 km. It happened to coincide with Biden's speech. The bombing takes place for the first time. There were more than 10 strikes in Mariupol alone," he says.

Residents of the DPR report extremely powerful explosions and the possible use of a new type of weapon, however, there are no official statements from the DPR leadership either about the bombing itself or about the information that it was carried out using GLSDB missiles.

Mass warnings on the radio

Residents of Russian cities report mass radio warnings about the threat of rocket launches.

Residents of Kazan, Voronezh, Belgorod, Ufa, Stary Oskol, Novouralsk, Moscow Region and some other regions of Russia witnessed warnings of rocket attacks on the territory of Russian cities.

Air raid alerts and missile warnings were announced on several radio channels. At the moment, it is known that the warning was heard on the air by several radio stations at the same time, broadcasting in various cities of Russia, moreover, located both near the border with Ukraine and at a considerable distance from it.

So far, there are no official statements on this matter from the authorities and the Russian military, however, there have been suggestions that the radio frequencies could have been hacked and the message was transmitted without authorization, however, it remains unknown how exactly such information will be answered to residents of areas under rocket attack, including the Belgorod region.

Massive blow to Makiivka using MLRS

The attack by the Ukrainian military was carried out using an unknown multiple launch missile system. Air defense systems tried to repel the attack of Ukrainian troops, however, multiple gaps were recorded on the ground, although there are no reports of damage and casualties at this time.

A large number of flashes and explosions indicated the fact that cluster munitions could well have been hit, and although Makiivka's air defense systems tried to repel the attack, it was not possible to completely shoot down all the enemy missiles.

What exactly was the target of the Ukrainian military raids has not yet been clarified, while the bombing, according to foreign media, was carried out with the Grad MLRS.
