Russian troops attacked an aircraft factory in Kharkiv, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, with the aim of destroying facilities manufacturing Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles as well as floating munitions.
The nighttime attack on targets in Kharkiv was carried out with Iskander missiles, not S-300s, as claimed by Ukrainian authorities, Russian media sources said.
It is known that the strike destroyed the Kharkiv aircraft factory and adjacent buildings.
"Ukrainian air defense does not have the ability to shoot down missiles of this class, so they all reached their targets," a Russian expert said.
"The workshops of this factory of Ukrainians, in which the modernization of unmanned aerial vehicles and munitions were carried out, were destroyed," the Russian military department said.
The Russian armed forces also managed to destroy the ammunition depot of the 66th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.
The Russian ministry also published a report on the situation on the line of contact.
Russian troops advanced near Seversk, in the direction of Kupyansk, as Russian aircraft and artillery hit a concentration of Ukrainian forces in the Luhansk region.
"More than 35 Ukrainian servicemen, an armored personnel carrier and a car were destroyed," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The Russian army inflicted significant damage on the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Krasnolimansky direction.
The Ukrainian side lost in the past day more than 130 soldiers, one infantry fighting vehicle, three armored fighting vehicles and one Grad MLRS system.
Russian Defense Minister S. Shoigu spoke about the losses of Kiev in January
"The fighters of the Russian army had successful offensive operations in the direction of Donetsk.
Kiev losses amounted to more than 140 soldiers, tanks, Msta-B howitzers, ammunition depots near Slavyansk and Advika.
In the direction of Yuzdonets, the Russian Armed Forces managed to neutralize 75 Ukrainian soldiers, one tank, one APC, three armored fighting vehicles and two armored vehicles.
New Russian missile revealed 'accidentally'
During the visit of Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, to a defense operation in Dubna, Russian missiles were on display, including the last tactical cruise missile.
The new missile was "accidentally photographed", but absolutely nothing is known about its development or existence.
In the presented image you can see a product of tactical missile type.
The missile is very similar to those types of tactical cruise missiles in service with Russia, including the Kalibr tactical cruise missile, Kh-101, etc.
However, this missile differs from existing missiles by some design features.
Despite the fact that much attention was paid to the study of the images, it was not possible to determine the type of missile and even more so its characteristics.
The fact that the Russian military is actively developing new tactical-level missiles shows that a lot of attention is being paid to this, especially given the combat use of tactical missile weapons in the conflict with Ukraine.
