There are more and more reports in the international media that "put Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the wall" and criticize his authoritarian rule and the unorthodox means he uses to remain in power at all costs.
After the outcry of the Turkish leader by the British magazine "Economist", the German "Stern", as well as the American news agency Bloomberg, a new American publication targets the "satanic" Erdogan, while reaching the point of asking "why he remains Biden in the Oval Office" if he can't "protect the nation from vicious foreign thugs"
"If it is true that Turkey has issued a $500,000 ransom for basketball player Enes Kanter Freedom, the United States should impose severe sanctions against Turkey," begins the article in the weekly Washington Examiner. The publication addresses the USA Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and USA President Joe Biden asking them, as the title states, to protect the basketball player Enes Kanter "from the satanic Erdogan".
"Freedom's only insult to Turkey is that it has the audacity to criticize Turkey's authoritarian Islamist president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Freedom tells the truth. Erdogan is a malignant cancer in world affairs, under whose leadership Turkey is already erecting multiple roadblocks to international harmony. Diplomatically, it prevents Sweden from joining NATO. Militarily, it has carried out murderous attacks in Syria. And this is just a sample of its nefarious actions" states the author of the article referring to another earlier publication by his colleague Tom Rogan which argued that Turkey itself should be excluded from NATO.
“The outrageous proclamation for the head of the NBA ace is just a big provocation,” the article emphasizes, adding: “It may be justified but not wise to make Mr. Freedom the sole issue for punishing Turkey. Instead, the Biden administration should announce that it is imposing sanctions on Turkey over a whole host of issues, of which this is just the last straw."
Biden continues “he must make it abundantly clear that no foreign nation is ever allowed to claim the head of a particular USA citizen in this way. Despite his Turkish origins, Freedom is a USA citizen, having shown the respect and seriousness required to become a naturalized citizen legally. Therefore, he deserves the full protection of the USA government. If Turkey wants to arrest him for daring to criticize its deplorably hypersensitive dictator, it should follow international law and ask the US to extradite Freedom.
Biden must make it clear that anyone who encourages such injustice against a USA citizen, especially on USA soil, will receive cold and punishing wrath in response. If Biden won't defend Liberty from vicious foreign thugs, why is he in the Oval Office?
