2S22 Bogdana is a new Ukrainian howitzer with a truck as its base platform. Bogdana features a 15mm gun, that can fire every standard NATO ammunition. The weapon stands out as it's a big step for the Ukrainian Army. Previously, the country's army used only 152mm howitzers!

In general, Ukrainian howitzers were destroyed in great numbers in 2014 at conflicts with Russia. There is also a big issue with the supply of 152mm ammunition for the previous howitzers. What happens as many factories were destroyed by Russians!
Bogdana has proved in tests that it can reach 40km range with the ERFB-BV aerodynamic shells. Its range with rocket-guided ammunition reaches 42km while it's limited to 30km with the ordinary HE-FRAG shells.
In terms of performance, Bogdana seems to be better than the Soviet ones. It looks like it can compete with West weapons of the same type.
