We will "lock" the Aegean-Greek anti-drone umbrella and satellite control SATCOM to UAV ARCHYTA and UCAV GRYPA

According to information from the Greek press, anti-drone systems have been installed since 2022 on islands, and in Evros, targeting the respective Turkish fleets that threaten our islands at every opportunity.
The plan of the Greek General Staff is to install similar systems from Evros to the last islet in Karpathos and the Dodecanese.

The Greek anti-drones systems are an advanced electronic warfare system

The system will automatically track and identify enemy drones and decide how to react and what weapon to use to neutralize them.

This is a number of stations in "red" areas, creating a network of sensors.

The aim of the whole system is to "blind" the Turkish UAVs by interfering with their GPS signal, disorienting their flight plan.

The goal is for the Greek anti-drone umbrella to be able to detect any UAV that will take off from a Turkish base with the purpose of entering the Athens FIR without a flight plan, but their neutralization must also include other systems.

The satellite navigation of the Turkish UCAVs and the Greek reaction

According to our article, TRT: Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, said that all of Turkey's drones will be able to be controlled via the Türksat series of satellites.

It is about the infamous SATCOM control, with which the Turks go to get a head against Greece.

Our country's reaction to this Turkish plan will be the complete and total destruction of all Turkish ground satellite stations, through which the "neighbors" want to control their drones.

With the Rafale squadrons and in 2-3 years especially the F-35 aircraft, the D.E.A.D type mission against the radar stations and ground satellite stations of the Turks, is anyway within any Greek plans in the scenario of a possible war with Ankara.

Greece can do the same with ARCHYTA and GRYPA

Greece also has this enormous potential, especially in the UAV ARCHYTA and UCAV GRYPA under construction and design, to also have satellite SATCOM control.

We recall Greece's space agreement with the US (which clearly controls space with hundreds of satellites) but also the Greece-France defense agreement with the infamous mutual assistance clause in case of war.

The general director of the General Directorate of Defense Equipment and Investments of the Ministry of Defense in 2022, Vice-Admiral e.a. Aristides Alexopoulos had reported to the TIF that "France is a pioneer in space technology. The cooperation with Greece started with the Helios program while the procedures for participation with the CSO program (s.s Composante Spatiale Optique, system of the French ED with earth observation satellites) are progressing 3rd Generation). Cooperation is underway in a program of many sensors (including the data of which) will be transferred to Space. Space applications are dual-use whenever they are useful in defense as well," he explained.

The French military CSO program will succeed the Helios-II program, which ceased operations in early 2022 after a long period of operation (the first Helios-II was launched in 2004 and the second in 2009). Both satellites were designed to operate from 5-7 years.

The Ministry of National Defense began operating the General Staff of National Defense ground station at Tanagra in 2010, thus operating the system longer than originally estimated in 2004-2005 at the negotiation stage.

In the interim until the required ground station changes are completed, national needs are covered by commercial satellite imagery.

The importance of Helios-II in information and decision-making became more widely known during the crisis management of 2020, both in the Evros and in the Aegean.

the new CSO system has better specifications and capabilities, and is expected to contribute to an even greater extent in supporting the country's national security.

In the same year, Mr. Patrick Defranoux CEO of THALES HELLAS S.A. had stated "his company participates in "achieving the strategic goals of Greece" both in the field of Defense and in areas such as Electronic Warfare among others, a collaboration with many groups at many levels in the country.

"Aspirations now concern the so-called New Space, such as nanosatellites.

It is a transition from large 3+ ton satellites to 200 to 250 kg satellites. Our experience can provide a lot in this new context as well. We go from single communication satellites to an ensemble, to a constellation of satellites.

There is, of course, the element of observation and monitoring linked to the security and defense of our country. Our ambition is to develop an industry framework regarding these small satellites (s.s. in Greece)".

What is Turkey's plan?

Turkey's plan is to wipe out all strategic infrastructure (airbases & fuel storage facilities) within the first day of any war with Greece".

The Greek side is thoroughly considering the scenario of a possible future saturation attack by 200-300 Turkish-made floating munitions, which no anti-aircraft defense would be able to counter.

Our country is preparing a wide range of UAVs, starting from the small drones that will be used in our daily lives and reaching UAVs that will fly for whole days on various missions.

The information states that the new Greek unmanned such aircraft are designed to fly in conjunction with manned aircraft of the Air Force that will guide them and give them the targets.

At this stage we must cover the minimum of our military requirements, adding drones to the Greek arsenal not only for observation, but also for purely military missions, at group or platoon level.

For greater heights and more complex combat missions, the existing gap with the Turkish defense industry should be bridged in a twofold way:

First by the direct purchase of missile-equipped UCAVs, either from the US or from Israel.

Second, with the development of GRYPA and other offensive drones that will be able to launch small missiles to begin with.
