A new nightmare for the Turks, since after the M-1117 TOMA, the Rafale and the Belhara frigates, the top anti-submarine helicopters that our navy will receive, the MH-60R, are on the delivery track.

The agreement with the US includes the modernization of the Greek Aegean Hawk helicopters, which will be implemented in Greek factories by the US company, while the program for the upgrade of the MEKO frigates, which is crucial for the Greek navy, is also under consideration.

These Romeo helicopters are considered "multi-tool combat helicopters", while they have high-level technological systems, specialize in anti-submarine warfare, have capabilities against surface targets, and can perform secondary missions such as search and rescue, logistics, transport and evacuation of personnel.

The Greek version of the MH-60R will be equipped with Hellfire missiles, guided missiles and modern Mk.54 torpedoes, which should be a cause of concern for the Turkish Navy.

Combined with the French frigates and other weapon systems, it is almost certain that the Greek Archipelago becomes a huge 'trap' for the Turkish navy and the 'Blue Homeland' plan is now cancelled in practice.

The MH-60R are multi-role helicopters, which were developed to replace the SH-60B and SH-60F of the US Navy.

As multirole helicopters, they can perform anti-submarine warfare missions, surface warfare operations, search and rescue, fire support missions in landing operations, surveillance and communications support operations, and refueling and personnel transport missions.
For resupply missions, the helicopter is equipped with an external hook, with a cargo carrying capacity of 6,000 pounds (2,718 kg).

Turkey's plans to partition the Aegean Sea

At a time when the Greek and Turkish governments are extending their hand of friendship and cooperation, planning the December 7 Mitsotakis-Erdoğan meeting at the High Cooperation Council, the Turkish Admiral Admiral Tatlioglou comes to stir the waters in the Aegean, reminding romantics and dreamers that the "restless beast" is present and ready at any time and moment, if conditions allow, to attack us.

Pointing out that there has been no Greek sovereignty in the Aegean throughout history, Tatlioğlu explained what has happened in the Aegean throughout history.

The Turkish Admiral stated that there are 8 main problems with Greece, 7 of which are related to the Naval Forces and said:

"Instead of making efforts to resolve these issues, Greece is constantly engaging in activities that increase tension. For example, it is gradually increasing the defence budget.
It is buying 4 Belharra class frigates and while it was going to buy 18, it has increased it by 6 more by buying 24 Rafale aircraft from France.

The US became our neighbours to the west. They currently have 3 major bases in Greece.

We have islands and islets whose sovereignty and ownership are disputed. They are trying to make these islands look like theirs by arranging visits to them.

On the other hand, they try to dictate their own strategies when the right environment is found," he said.

This is what the Turks dream of, but no matter what they declare in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean, they will not achieve anything, since the Greek Navy is active there, which is respected and feared by "enemies and friends", especially in NATO.
