Exclusive: These are the areas that Greece committed for the PARMENION drill while Turkey proceeds with a recruitment exercise

With the start of the interdisciplinary exercise "Parmenia", Greece proceeds to test all its strategic plans and weapon systems.

Pentapostagma reveals the areas Athens has committed for this exercise. These are mainly focused on Thrace and the southeastern Aegean, in the triangle Rhodes, Kastelorizo, Karpathos.

Rafale fighters will also fly in these areas, as they did a few days ago in the context of the "Eunomiya" exercise with France, Italy and Cyprus.

The difference will be that now the 332 Squadron has received its final evaluation and now the Greek Rafale is formally ready to undertake any mission requested.

The Air Force General Staff in the relevant statement said: "From Monday 11 to Friday 15 September 2023, as part of the Tactical Evaluation of the 114 Fighter Wing (114PM), the Final Operational Capability (FOC) of the 332 Squadron was conducted by an Evaluation Team of the Headquarters Tactical Air Command. The Squadron was evaluated for its operational capability, support and interoperability across the range of operations it will be called upon to perform, and as in the Initial Operational Capability (IOC), it passed with flying colors. The completion of the assessment marks the very high level of professionalism and readiness of the 332 Squadron with Rafale aircraft, and its full integration into the operational structure and planning of the Air Force."
