Admiral Gurdeniz: With MILDEN-class submarines and unmanned vessels we will hit the Greek islands

The well-known retired Turkish Admiral T. Giurdeniz revealed to us that his country is moving normally to establish a special force for the so-called "Blue Homeland", which divides the Aegean Sea, ignoring our islands.

In the midst of friendly announcements by the Turkish Security Council, the Turkish retired Admiral "grounds" us in reality regarding Greek-Turkish relations.

"Turkey's weapon that will have the last word in the worst case scenario in the "Blue Homeland" is our new submarine and new torpedo.

It is vital to prioritize the national Akya torpedo and MILDEN-class submarine designs.

We must not forget that even the most advanced naval forces are incompetent underwater.
We also have our new unmanned MARLIN boats, which have a deterrent missile with a range of 40 km, which will "invisibly" hit many areas with many islands such as the Aegean," he said.

The MILDEN program represents the Turkish effort to build and create a new class of submarines. Analysts from around the world do not hesitate to call the project particularly ambitious, since the Turks are developing for the first time a set of electrical, telecommunications and sensor technologies that will be integrated into the vessel. They will also test for the first time propulsion and weapons systems, which have never been tested before.

The project started in 2012 and the current phase is expected to end after 2023 due to earthquakes.

As for the Turkish unmanned vessel USV MARLIN, it test-fired KUZGUN-KY solid-propellant cruise missile a few days ago, and the whole project is at its final point.

We remind you that the day before yesterday, Turkish Boeing 737 MESA, flew south of Cyprus making a show of power in the region.

"A training flight was carried out in the international airspace of the Mediterranean, south of Cyprus, with the participation of our combat and support aircraft, which took off from various bases of our Air Force Command," the Turkish General Staff reports.

Ankara is not changing its tactics, since its offensive-type weapon systems are proceeding normally with the aim of the submarine war in the Aegean, in which the Turks want to have the upper hand in a few years.

We are not talking about developments concerning today or tomorrow, but about 5 years from now, when they will be in normal production, especially these two weapon systems from the Turkish Navy.

Our country, after the parliamentary elections, will decide on all the remaining armament programs, including the Corvettes.

It is estimated that we must also strengthen our submarines, with a market that will cover our needs, in view of the mining in the south of Crete, which will "pay" the 15 billion and whatever is needed, in order to have a strong Armed Forces in the next 30 years in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean.
