Turks built the powerful TEI-TF6000 engine - TF-X fighter jet & Kızılelma and Anka-3 UAVs gain massive capabilities (Video)

The devastating earthquakes in Turkey, apart from the human tragedy with the loss of thousands of Turkish civilians buried under the rubble and the massive material destruction they caused, would have been expected to automatically mean a suspension or even a slowdown of Turkish armaments programs.

But this is not the case, as we have highlighted with our many articles, as a result of which Erdogan continues his country's armament program unabated.

We are literally talking about the arms frenzy that has gripped the Turks after the earthquakes.

The new TF6000 engine

Turkey's armament effort is not limited to the production of new weapon systems and mobile ammunition, but also extends to the construction of the powerful TF6000 engine of TUSAŞ Engine Industry Inc. (TEI), which will give very high capabilities to the Kızılelma unmanned combat aircraft and the Anka-3 UAV, forming the basis for the development of the TF-X 5th generation fighter engine.

TEI General Manager Mahmut Faruk Akshit recently stated that the TEI-TF6000 engine will be produced and put into service this year.

The TF6000, 6000 pounds (lbf) will be the most powerful engine in Turkey and will be used for aircraft and power generation.

This engine will be followed by the TEI-TF10000 thousand pound engine.

The domestic engine will be developed with the aim of the national fighter jet entering mass production in 2028.

Speaking about the TEI-TF6000 release date, TEI General Manager Akshit said: “We aim to launch our engine in late summer or autumn, unless something happens. We're going to run this engine, so let's see how well our design works here. We designed the TEI-TF6000 engine as a kind of technology acquisition engine.

Explaining that the TEI-TF6000 is a genuine military turbofan engine, Axit said:

“It is a jet engine, albeit on a small scale. It was fully designed and developed by TEI. A national fighter aircraft requires an engine with much higher requirements, at the highest level of technology. It will be one of the most advanced engines in the world. We proceed step by step.

TEI-TF6000 and TEI-TF10000 are training engines for us. Drivers of Technology Development, Validation and Capability Acquisition.

"Right now we are working full throttle. The number of our engineers who spend time on the fighter jet engine and work on that engine alone has grown to over 200 since last year. Although the official competitive process for the design studies of the National Fighter Aircraft has not been completed, we have begun. The TEI-TF6000 and TEI-TF10000 engines are a step on the way to the National Fighter Engine.

Part of our team manages the TEI-TF6000 process. Spare parts production continues. We had trouble sourcing some of his accessories. They will affect the schedule a bit. If nothing goes wrong, we aim to start our engine in late summer or autumn. We'll be using this engine, so we'll see how well our design works here. We designed the TEI-TF6000 engine as a kind of technology acquisition machine”

Now everyone knows that the engines of the national fighter jet can be made in Turkey.

This 6k or 10k lb unburnt engine can be used in both Kızılelma and Anka-3, Attak-II attack helicopter and national Hurjet fast attack craft if needed.
