Turkish Admiral: An earthquake in Istanbul will hit the Turkish naval defense industry hard

Harbringer of doom would be brought by an earthquake in Istanbul, which many Turkish experts and especially seismologists believe.

"The Turkish Naval Administration has 2 bases there, and several shipyards of the Turkish Defense Industry are here. An earthquake here (Istanbul would collapse our defense industry, at least in terms of shipping), concluded the initiator of the "Blue Homeland" T. Yayci.

Turkish retired Admiral T. Yayci issued critical warnings about the earthquake in Antioch, stating that "it could make us lose all our seas".

As a guest of the show "Panorama of the Week" and speaking to a Turkish journalist on TV100, the retired Admiral T.Yatsi made critical statements after the earthquake in the Antioch area, from which Kahranmaras suffered the most damage.

Yachi said: "As the main designer of the Blue Homeland map, Alexandretta is the heart of the Blue Homeland in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Any change in Alexandretta and Hatay could cause us to lose all our seas, and that is terribly critical."

Commenting on the effects of the great Istanbul earthquake, Yatsi said: "We do 90% of our imports and exports by sea. 52% of that comes from the port of Istanbul and the surrounding ports. The collapse of these ports will stop the our imports and exports, as well as foreign aid".

On the other hand, he emphasized "the great military danger of the expected Istanbul earthquake".

"The Turkish Naval Administration has 2 bases there, and almost 4 shipyards of the Turkish Defense Industry are here. An earthquake here (Istanbul would collapse our defense industry, at least in terms of shipping)," he concluded.

The other Turkish retired Admiral T. Giurdeniz, on the occasion of the earthquake in Antioch, revealed Ankara's plans with the expansion and modernization of the naval base in Aksaz, which targets the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean:

"A significant part of the Turkish Navy's strike force was deployed at Aksaz Naval Base in the Aegean due to lack of space.

Thus, in 1999, a strategic advantage was achieved that could exist in a very short time in the Eastern Mediterranean, where the most important conflict of interests in the 21st century will materialize", emphasizes Gourdeniz about the natural gas fields, the East Med and the others projects with Egypt (electricity transmission)”.
.
The doctrine of the "Blue Homeland" is internationalized by Ankara, with the publication of the "Istanbul University Charter" against the European borders of the Seville Charter, as derived from UNCLOS.

The main pillar of the Turkish plan is the division of the Aegean, Ankara questions the map of Seville and raises again the issue of the sovereignty of the Greek islands, micro-islands and islets, their demilitarization and questions the legitimacy of agreements that have been in force for decades.

The purpose is the division of the Aegean and the possible seizure of micro-islands, but without the neighbors counting on the Greek Armed Forces, which are vigilant day and night.
