Tatar rushes to the headquarters of the occupying forces after the drills of the National Guard

Keeping in focus the lifting of the arms embargo to the Republic of Cyprus by the USA and Nicosia's increasingly close cooperation with the American armed forces, the occupying government on the northern side of the island has become alarmed. The ongoing upgrade of the tank potential of Cyprus and the firing exercise of the AMX-30 tanks a few days ago made the pseudo-president of the occupied countries visit the headquarters of the armored forces of the occupying army.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense in a brief statement states:

"The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Mr. Ersin Tatar visited the Command of the 14th Armored Brigade of the Turkish Peacekeeping Forces Cyprus and received information about the activities in the tank firing area.

Congratulating the Commanders for the organization and order of our troops, President Mr. Ersin Tatar dined with our Mehmetcik and gave a speech expressing his satisfaction with the presence of the Turkish Armed Forces on the Island."

Nicosia exercises its armored forces as with elections in Turkey there is always the possibility that Erdogan will want to create a heated confrontation with Greece and Cyprus.

"On January 10 and 12, 2023, training shots of AMX-30B2 tanks of the 2nd M/K Infantry Brigade took place at the Kalo Chori Shooting Range.

These shots are part of the operational training of the tank crews and are intended to further upgrade the level of their combat capability.

Part of the firing was attended by the Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Dimokritos Zervakis, who noted the high level of preparedness and operational training of the personnel, as well as their high morale and professionalism.

From January 9 to 13, 2023, training in First Level Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TC3) items was held at the "STAVROU STYLIANIDI" Camp in Kornos, with the participation of personnel from the XX Armored Brigade Units.

The training was based on the TC3 Battlefield Prehospital Care standard, which describes the sequence of procedures that anyone involved in combat injury must know and apply. Its purpose was to increase the knowledge and practice of non-health personnel in the management and care of gunshot wounds, as well as the evacuation of wounded from the battlefield.

The said activity, part of which was attended by the Minister of Health, Mr. Michalis Hatzipandelas and the Chief of the National Guard, Lt. Gen. Dimokritos Zervakis, is judged to be particularly beneficial for the personnel of the National Guard, as the knowledge of First Aid in the battlefield is of primary importance for the survival and morale of the staff" state the relevant announcements of the GEEF.
