In 2009, the German FFG started developing an armored personnel carrier with the name G5. In 2018, a contract was signed between the company and the Norwegian Amy for an Armored Combat Support Vehicle (ACSV) version of G5. Some sources state that the first vehicles were delivered in the country in 2021.
The tracked vehicle can carry cargo up to 8t. Its protection provides protection against small ammunition. The G5 ACSV can be equipped with a 7,62 or 12,7mm machine gun. Its crew includes a driver and commander.
The vehicle isn't amphibious but features a reliable diesel engine that develops 616hp. Its interesting feature is that it can work with different fuels like petrol, kerosene, or even flammable liquids! Last, its range reaches 600km.
