Buk-MB3Κ is a new Belarussian missile system for air defense, that is a greatly improved version of the Soviet Buk.
The Transporter Erector Launcher and Radar vehicle (TELAR) can carry up to four missiles.
From the available missiles, the new Belarussian 9M318 surface-to-air missile is the most advanced. The weapon can reach a range of 70km and can fly at a maximum altitude of 25km. Its weight is 815kg and it was tested for the first time in 2020.
TELAR's radar can engage targets like an aircraft from a distance of 130km. It takes five minutes to make Buk-MB3Κ ready to fire. Its crew consists of three members.
An interesting act is that the reloading vehicle that escorts the system, can fire missiles too! It takes 12-15 minutes in order to reload the main system.
