Altug is the new Turkish armored combat vehicle that was developed from BMC. The company is specialized in the production of military and other vehicles.

Altug can be highly adjusted. That means its basic concept can be used for the construction of other different objects with different weapons and systems. The Altug has already shown two different versions; the 8x8 Altug ZPT, the personnel carrier, and the Altug 8x8 ZMA that is an infant fighting vehicle. The 8x8 maybe means that there will be different platforms in the future.
Altug has adjustable protection. Its ballistic and explosive protection can be changed depending on the mission. An NBC system is located on the vehicle. There is also a laser detection system and warning system.
The control fire system can track impressively well. Also, the armored vehicle is equipped with a modern communication system and battlefield management.
The vehicle is powered by a diesel Caterpillar C13 engine that develops 711hp. The engine is set to work with Allison 6 transmission and 6 for and 1 reverse gear. Last, Altug is not amphibious.
