A good example is Egypt, the most powerful country on the continent. Although, one of the most powerful weapons of Africa belongs to South Africa. The Denel AH-2 attack helicopter was built in and designed in the country.

Denel AH-2 Is An Impressive Helicopter
Denel Roovialk is an attack helicopter that made its entrance in the Air Force of South Africa in 2011. It made its first flight in 1990, and it was produced by Denel Aviation between 1990 and 2007. Roovialk means red hawk, but AH-2 and C SH-2 are also designations of the helicopter. The 12 units serve in the 16th Squadron of AFB Bloemspruit.
South Africa wanted a very good helicopter to use in the Border War. They wanted these aircraft for escorting vehicles of high interest, for striking enemy aircraft, and also threaten the Soviet battle tanks. But because it's pretty hard to design a helicopter, they based the design on Roovialk on that of SA 330 Puma. In action, Roovialk is very similar to Atlas Oryx. Atlas Oryx is an upgraded version of Puma, that is common in Africa. In 2016, the helicopter was upgraded with incoming missile warning systems and a few other changes that made it more reliable.
In armament, the helicopter features a 20mm cannon, it can shoot air-to-air missiles, anti-tank missiles, and free-fall bombs. The anti-tank missiles were later added because of Soviet battle tanks in the region. The helicopter also features an advanced navigation system, a control fire system, and electronic warfare countermeasures. It's agile and multi-purpose.
