GRP-20 is a new grenade launcher that is being put under the barrel of the gun. The weapon is pretty special as it launches rocket-guided grenades. It can be characterized as a rocket launcher. The first prototype was revealed in 2016 and the first fully operational unit was seen in 2020. Today, we know only a few things about the launcher.

GRP-20 uses grenades containers of one use. The grenade is being but in these containers that are closed. As soon as the grenade is launched, the container is being moved and another one is being put in the launcher. There are listed two developed ammunition for the weapon
When the weapon shoots, the rocket-guided movement shorts after 10 meters.
GRP-20 can be put in assault rifles like the AK-74M, a standard gun for the Russian army. It is also available for the newer AK-100 series and the Kalashnikov AK-12 and AK-15. The launcher is lighter than any other like the GP-25, GRP-30, or GRP-35. That is a really important benefit for the soldier using the weapon.
GRP-20 has double the range of other launchers. It is believed that its range reaches 800 meters. Although, it is really unlikely that at this range the grenade will hit any target. A range of 300 to 500 meters is more realistic. Although, its powerful feature is the radius of 20m of its ammunition. When the grenades explode, they are like 250g of TNT. So, even if the range isn't its top feature, the radius of its ammunition is really deadly. The launcher can injure a lot of soldiers with one grenade.
GRP-20 has a safe mode to prevent accidental shots. A safe button is there to block the trigger. Last but not least, the weapon features its own sights.
