Yesterday the meeting of the Turkish Supreme National Security Council (NSC) took place, chaired by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in the presence of the leadership of the Turkish Armed Forces and the intelligence services.
The result of this secret meeting, according to a relevant announcement, was the provocative Turkish demands for the "Blue Homeland", the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as the demands for Cyprus.
Ankara has even stated that it is determined to protect the rights deriving from international law, of course meaning its own... lawless fantasies.
This announcement essentially contains the threat of "military measures" in case the Turkish government considers that its two main plans in our region are affected, while, suspicious reports state that the island of Kalolimnos is not Greek and Greece has an army on this island illegally.
As the neo-Ottoman Turks do nothing by chance, the targeting of Kalolimnos seems to be a plan for a general aggression to our islands around Imia.
In fact, a Turkish publication in a provocative and false way states that Kalolimnos is Turkish and there should be no Greek outpost there, presenting a relevant map, in the context of the spread of Turkish propaganda to influence both the domestic and the international factor.
Most notable, however, at this meeting of the Turkish National Security Council was the mention of the "Turkish national unity", which is controlled by the regime, under the pretext of the Kurds.
The Islamic elite that controls the country, fears the case of insurgency and riots inside Turkish territory due to the problems with Alevis, Kurds, Syrian immigrants and other minorities that it diligently hides.
Unemployment has surpassed all records, while hunger combined with harassment and dismissal of staff, as well as the ongoing student uprising, have created an explosive mix that can cause a huge social explosion at any moment.
The conclusions of the meeting state that the PKK / YPG, and FETO, "threaten" national unity and coexistence within the Turkish state.
The "Turkish Aegean" (as the Turks called it) and the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as the settlement of the Cyprus issue on each international platform were recorded in 5 points as follows:
- The implications of political, military, economic and social developments in Turkey, the world and our region in 2020 are significant for national security and have been assessed in detail. Possible developments for 2021 and the measures to be taken against them were discussed.
- The Council was informed of the determination and military operations against any threats and dangers against Turkish unity and solidarity, in particular those of the PKK / PYD / YPG, FETÖ and DAESH.
- The measures taken to end the presence of Kurdish organizations, which are a major source of instability in the region, in the territories of our southern neighbors were discussed. All involved international actors were called upon to fulfill their duty.
- The "Aegean of Turkey": It was stressed once again that the country on every platform for resolving the issues of the Eastern Mediterranean and Cyprus, is mainly in favor of diplomacy and dialogue, but on the other hand, is determined to protect its rights and interests under international law and agreements.
- "It is stated that great efforts are being made for Somalia but also in many different regions to neutralize terrorism and the growing violence in the country in order to achieve stability," the statement concluded.
Not only has Turkey not backed down from its irrational, illegal and provocative plans, but it is threatening with military action anyone who stands in the way of its plans.
This is a classic policy of intimidation that does not pass in Greece or in Cyprus, especially with the new armaments package that our country is running, which in fact has troubled Ankara due to the enormous costs that it will have to pay to implement what it has first and foremost proclaimed to the Turkish people to whom it is also accountable.
