Rapid developments in Libya in favor of Greece- Egypt and Haftar are preparing to oust the pro-Turkish Libyan prime minister

Egyptian diplomatic sources have revealed that a secret meeting was held in Cairo between the head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed al Menfi, and Marshal Khalifa Haftar, aimed at a plan to oust pro-Turkish Prime Minister Dbeibah.

According to the sources, Menfi proposed that if Libya's House of Representatives and the Supreme Council of State did not reach an agreement based on the constitution, the presidential council would take over the country, declaring a state of emergency, simultaneously dissolving the two councils, (which is the pro-Turkish government in Tripoli and the Benghazi government, led by Marshal Haftar).

Menfi's initiative stipulates that an emergency government of ten ministers will then be formed to prepare for an election process within six months to a year, ensuring that Haftar will be allowed to participate in the scheduled elections.

The meeting took place amid preparations for a national reconciliation conference aimed at promoting dialogue and achieving peace and stability in Libya.

The pro-Turkey prime minister in Tripoli is preparing the ground for Turkish intervention

The head of the Tripoli-based government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, at the same time, "stressed the necessity of his country's cooperation with Turkey in the economic, political and military fields."

This was made in a statement by Dbeibah's media office late on Tuesday night after receiving Turkish Ambassador to Libya Kenan Yilmaz and the staff of Turkish Military Attache Tevabil Menekse on the occasion of the end of Menekse's tenure in Libya.

According to the statement, Dbeibah thanked Menekse for the cooperation throughout his tenure at the Turkish embassy in Libya, while stressing "the need for cooperation with Turkey in the economic, political and military fields."

The scenario leads with mathematical precision to a possible surprise Turkish military intervention in Libya, which will cause the immediate reaction of Egypt in the East, with the possible dispatch of even Egyptian forces. The US, which has been moving behind the scenes for a long time (UAE-Egypt) in search of a solution for this country, will probably intervene in the matter.

After delineating an EEZ to the west with Libya, al-Sisi essentially "dissolved" the illegal Turkey-Libya memorandum on the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in the Mediterranean Sea.

Egypt's decree followed the recent signing of a new intergovernmental agreement on search and rescue with Greece, all of which together nullify the illegal Turkish-Libyan memorandum, and pave the way for demarcation with Libya by both countries.

However, the question remains as long as everything prepared by Menfi, Haftar and Egypt applies, and it concerns the very possible Turkish military intervention in the country, which would have unforeseen consequences for Greece as well.
